Asus ROG phone 6 and 6 Pro takes mobile gaming to new levels

Posted on July 5, 2022

The ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro are the latest additions to Asus gaming-focused Republic of Gamers Android phone portfolio. They’re gamer phones for gamers, and the enhanced displays seem fairly spectacular.

Both variants are powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and offer up to 512GB of storage. They have the same 6.78-inch OLED panels as the previous ROG Phone 5S, but their 165Hz refresh rates and 720Hz touch-sampling rates are both significant upgrades over the previous model. They have the same 6,000mAh batteries as earlier models, as well as an updated three-camera configuration. The Phone 6 will start at €999, while the Phone 6 Pro will start at €1,299 — they’ll be available initially in the UK and Europe, and Asus claims they’ll be available in the US, India, and other markets later.

Witness the arrival of this new gaming marvel on July 5 08:00PM (UTC+8)!

Asus is clearly attempting to create a phone that can also be used as a daily device; the company has been gradually refining the ROG Phone’s appearance over the previous several versions so that it doesn’t only be considered as a gamer phone, but also a daily driver.
