Which electric vehicle has the longest range

Posted on July 20, 2022

One of the main issues for automobile buyers thinking about an electric vehicle is the driving range. Range anxiety, or the worry that your EV won’t have enough battery power to finish a trip, is one highly powerful driving force. Lucid Air Dream Edition R all-wheel drive: 520 miles

The Tesla Model S has been overthrown, and the Lucid Air has replaced it as the long-range champion. The 520-mile Dream R with AWD and 19-inch wheels is the longest-range Air and is available in a variety of configurations. Amazingly, every version of the Air has a greater range than any other EV that is currently on the market.

Price: $169,000

Tesla Model S Dual-Motor AWD: 405 miles

The Tesla Model S is an electric automobile that is fast, elegant, and roomy. The Model S changed the way people think about electric cars when it first appeared on the scene back in 2012. A Model S has precise handling and acceleration that can compete with some of the fastest sports vehicles in the world. The baseline Model S has an EPA-estimated 405-mile driving range with 19-inch wheels.

Price: $96,190

Tesla Model 3 Long Range Dual-Motor AWD: 358 miles

The Tesla Model 3 may be the cheaper and smaller alternative to the Model S, but it doesn’t fall short when it comes to providing a significant amount of range. A good 263 miles of range are provided by the Range Plus Model 3, 315 miles by the potent Performance, and 353 miles by the Long Range version.

Price: $47,190

Tesla Model X Dual-Motor AWD: 351 miles

Due in part to the Model X SUV’s 351-mile range, Tesla has a significant position on this list. The Model X has some oddball characteristics, such as a large windshield that curves over the front seats, back Falcon Wing doors that open upward, and an optional small third-row seat.

Price: $106,190

Mercedes-Benz EQS 450: 350 Miles

The Mercedes-EQ EQS sedan, a debut for the 2022 model year, offers the maximum range in the series with a still-impressive 350 miles on the lower-level RWD and single-motor 450 Plus. The version with the longest range, the 580, loses 10 miles of range in return for an extra motor, AWD, and other features.

Price: $103,360

Tesla Model Y Long Range Dual-Motor AWD: 330 miles

The Model Y SUV was released for the 2020 model year and shares the same platform and drivetrain as the current Model 3 sedan. The Model Y features rapid steering responses and enough power to lock you into your seat during heavy acceleration, just like the Model 3.

Price: $60,190

BMW iX xDrive50: 324 miles

The iX, BMW’s first entirely electric SUV, comes in at number seven with a reasonable range of 324 miles. That range is achievable with the less potent AWD xDrive50 on 20-inch wheels. With larger 21- or 22-inch wheels, prices rise and range decreases, falling even further to 274 miles in the new performance-focused 2023 iX M60 with 22-inch wheels.

Price: $84,195

Ford F-150 Lightning: 320 miles

A 300-mile range was previously predicted for the eagerly awaited F-150 Lightning, but the all-electric version of Ford’s well-known F-150 pickup truck exceeded that prediction, at least for the XLT and Lariat trims. The maximum ranges of the two vehicles, when equipped with the optional extended-range battery pack, are 320 miles.

Price: $74,269

Rivian R1S: 316 miles

The R1S electric SUV, which will be the second of Rivian’s vehicles to debut, is the company’s first entry on this list. The EPA presently only has one range rating for the R1S, despite the fact that all-terrain tires and a variety of wheel sizes and designs are available. However, it is likely that these decisions may affect overall range.

Price: $71,075

Ford Mustang Mach-E RWD California Route 1: 314 miles

The rear-drive California Route 1 version of the 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E, which was first introduced for the 2021 model year, has a driving range of 314 miles as opposed to the 305 miles that the 2021 model had. The Mustang Mach-E with its amazing power and practical technology have occasionally been tarnished by a rough ride and malfunctions.
